Tongue ulcer: Orabase will not heal an ulcer. It is an oral bandage that can be applied to the ulcer before meals to keep it from being irritated. The ulcer will heal spontaneously in 7-10 days. Try to stay on a bland diet. There is some research that suggests that applying honey to the ulcer will help it heal faster.
