Excellent Question: Peripheral neuropathy has several known causes: hereditary, autoimmune, diabetes, alcohol, medicine, etc.BUT, it turns out neuropathic pain may be even more common than ever thought.CRPS & many chronic or otherwise undiagnosable pains turn out to be peripheral neuropathy.Treatments vary from meds, to TENS, spinal stimulators, etc.I've had great success with neuroprolotherapy for this condition.
