Parts of the atria: The auricles are pouches that are parts of the left and right atria. They do more or less the same things as the rest of the atria - they store blood and help push blood into the ventricles, which in turn pump the blood into the luings (for the right ventricle) and to the rest of the body (for the left ventricle).
