See below: Mallory weiss refers to partial tear at the gastroesophageal junction, usually due to severe retching & related to alcohol & eating disorders & rarely nsaids abuse. If bleeding is self-limited, treatment is supportive care. Severe/continuous bleeding can be stopped by endoscopic or interventional radiology techniques or surgery.
