What is the treatment for lyme disease (advanced)?

Oral, IV antibiotics: The treatment for this is apparently oral and IV (intravenous) antibiotics. For those >=12 and not pregnant, Doxycycline 100mg 2x/day is the first choice, while those <12 get amoxacillin 50mg/kg/day. This is done for skin as well as the later stages, like joint, heart, and nervous system involvement. Iv therapy is done for nervous and cardiac involvement and includes Ceftriaxone 2g/day.

Depends: Chronic lyme needs to be treated by at least two antibiotics. Other supportive treatments such as herbals, vitamins, and supplements are also useful.
