I would certainly be checked to determine the cause. Having edema in the legs is not usually better than having it in the feet. If a person is retaining fluid for example, as the condition worsens it goes from just involving the feet to involving the legs as well. Be seen.

Can be because of Anemia, low protein,Liver/heart/kidney disease, bilateral DVT, certain medication effect. Ibuprofen can damage kidney. Low thyroid also.
