Probably not: Antibiotics do not help for interstitial cystitis (IC) so it is probably not an issue if you have to wait a week to be seen about the IC.

Here are some ...: Ups and downs in IC-related irritative voiding symptoms is entirely expected, but not related with bacterial cystitis so there is no need for taking antibiotics, except occasional superimposed UTI, which is common for young females. So, work with Doc closely to sort out which is which so to get proper Rx. Remember IC is "lifelong" bladder disorders with no cure but highly manageable.
