A member asked:

Is muscus in the stool bad? is it common?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DontLeaveASnailTrail: It's not necessarily "bad," but it's not common either. Usually means something is going on, so if it persists it would be a good idea to get it checked out, especially if there is any pain or problems with bowel movements for any length of time (like, say, 2 weeks). If the mucus increases, you have two possibilities: you'll go to the doctor sooner or... you are changing into a snail.
