Chest pains: I will presume you are an otherwise healthy female and not a drug user or have congenital heart problems. The 2 most likely reasons for your chest pain would be pleurisy or chest wall/ rib joint inflammation. Pleurisy is an inflammation of the lining of the lung and the inside wall of the chest. Inflammation of the sternal rib joints can also cause short, sharp pains. See a doc for an exam.
