How can you tell the difference btwn an asthmatic cough and a cough from dust/mold? never diagnosed w asthma, just a cough for past 6 months.

Needs work up.: If you have had cough for such a long time, you definitely need a work up to find the cause. Dust and mold can also cause asthma. In Asthma cough is usually associated with wheezing sound when you breathe out. Your cough can also be from allergies, post nasal drip, GERD (Acid reflex). If you are taking certain high blood pressure medicines, like ACE inhibitors, that will also cause cough.
