I have viral meningitis, discharged from my hospital with antibiotics and pain killers, why is the rash still spreading down my body 4 days later?

Challenge diagnosis: Viral meningitis usually does not come with rash, and is not treated with antibiotics. Is it possible you have *bacterial* meningitis instead? You may be safe to go home with bacterial meningitis if you keep taking the antibiotic prescribed and you can manage the pain at home. If you can't adequately care for yourself at home due to pain, come back into hospital for further care. Get well soon!
