Probably: This is called otitis externa= infection or imflammation of the external ear caused by either bacterial of fungal reactions.

You may have: an external ear infection if the tube seems to be swollen (otitis externa). Please see a physician for treatment. Take care.

Ear Infection: The pain is highly suggestive of an infection, but since you did not provide any information about yourself, not even your age let alone medical history, no relevant response can be offered. I recommend you see a doctor for exam and based on the diagnosis of whether it is otitis media or externa, you will be placed on antibiotics by mouth or drops, respectively.
