Yes, but: With history of bleeding and possible anal fissure, a lubricant is essential, not Vaseline but a water based lubricant. Ask your pharmacist. You should also continue use of stool softener like Colace (docusate sodium) and drink a lot of water to help keep the stool soft and for general health.
