No: The number on side effect of Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone) is irregular and unpredictable bleeding. After 3 months about 50% of women still have spotting and or bleeding. At 6 months about 25% are still bleeding and by 9 months 5% are still bleeding. The longer you use the shot the more likely you are to stop bleeding.

Erradic: The Depo-Provera shot may not stop your periods all together, but can certainly cause them to be irregular. Best wishes.
