Standardized tests : for assessment of fine motor skills exist for all age groups. Occupational therapists assess the developmental level of skills & the quality of movement. The Peabody Developmental Motor Scales 2, birth-5 defines degree of impairment in kids with neurological abnormalities or risk factors for fine-motor delays. http://www.guideline.gov/content.aspx?id=47480 lists efficacy of various therapies.
