Recent pregnancy?: Have you had a recent vaginal delivery of a pregnancy? That is a common cause of rectal / pelvic floor pain. If that's not the case the pain could be coming from an abnormality in the anus or rectum or spasming of the perianal muscles. I would first see a GI specialist to check the rectal / anal / colon issue. If that's normal then you may need PT for pelvic floor spasm and pain.
