I am on a 10 day course of amoxicillin. i will still be on it on thanksgiving, so my question is...is it ok to have a few drinks while on amoxicillin?

Yes: high MackM. Your description of 'Belching , Heart palpitations , Sharp chest pain on the left side' is a little worrisome, but the amoxicillin can cause GI symptoms like that..if it seems more like your heart, consider going to the ER. Amoxicillin is not particularly hard on the liver, and doesnt act as a metabolic poison when combined with alcohol, just use moderation and refrain if in pain.
