Minimal effect: Maybe the Plan B could delay your period for a day or two but even that is unlikely. Small variations in cycle length are normal so you can't draw any conclusions from a delay of only one day.

Up to 1 week: Hi Wayne11 As you know, Plan B stops implantation by hormonally triggering sloughing of the normal endometrial buildup. So its effect depends somewhat on where you are in your period. Because is a high dose of progresterone type hormone, it can definitely change your cycle. If you have worrisome symptoms (pain etc) better see a practitioner who does gyn.

Unpredictable: Hi, After taking Plan B, bleeding may occur earlier or later and may be lighter or heavier than usual period. If no period comes 3-4 weeks after taking emergency contraception (i.e. Plan B) pregnancy test should be checked. Plan B is up to 95% effective in preventing pregnancy but regular use of birth control pill is more effective and has additional benefits.
