A member asked:

I took birth control before for cramps. now i am back on birth control. usually i do not have periods but my body is cramping really bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Another cause: The pills help menstrual cramps by decreasing the amount of uterine lining to slough off and thus decreasing the amount of prostaglandins which cause the cramping. If you are not bleeding this is working. Your cramping is likely caused by something else and you need to see your doctor to find and treat the cause. Hope this helps.
