Contact allergy?: Some people with latex allergy may develop a contact reaction to the elastic band from underwear. If the laundering process was not adequate, detergent residue may also cause an irritation at the edge where there is pressure. Try hydrocortisone cream and underwear without latex/rubber and see if this helps. If not, consult allergist or dermatologist who can perform patch test to verify.
