Sex: Try not to wear perfume or wash your hair with perfumed shampoo. Perfumed hair spray is also a no-no. Also use a non perfumed body soap. And don't forget about the perfumed sheets and aromatic candles

Yes: He should visit with his doc and modify his treatment to the point he does not have these events. That may mean you identify something about the encounter that triggers a problem & remove it when possible. Otherwise this just signals poor control or his making an excuse to avoid sex.You need to find out.
