See your Doc!: Severe pain and bleeding is an ectopic pregnancy until proven otherwise. The best way to make sure is to get a blood pregnancy test. It can also be an infection. Its possible its just a bad period but if this hasn't happened to you before, I'd probably get checked out. Best wishes!
