A member asked:

What would cause a low protime level in a 43yr old if you are taking one adult baby aspirin a night?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unclear question: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, low protime is usually not a pathological issue. Unless by low you mean prolonged protime. It would have been helpful to have your INR. It would be prudent to discuss the matter with your doctor.
