What are the tests for pediculosis?

Direct observation: There are 2 kinds of pediculosis, the head/body kind and the pubic kind. Each is caused by a different species of louse. There are no lab tests for either; a doctor makes the diagnosis by physically observing the lice on the hairs of the appropriate body part.
