CT, LP: Start with the clinical symptoms which are usually headache. The classic symptom is the "worst headache" of one's life. Cat scans are very good for demonstrating acute blood in the subarachnoid spaces at the base of the skull. Spinal taps can also be done to demonstrate the blood in the cerebral spinal fluid.
