Mental status: What typically distinguishes tremors induced by medication from a seizure induced as you describe is the fact that in many cases seizures cause people's mental status to become confused, blunted, even pass out. Tremors as side effects do not. Also, the way the tremor looks is different in risperdal induced tremor vs. a seizure which is usually a very rhythmic and symmetric appearing entity.
