Back injury: This is most likely a strain of low back tissues and is best treated with rest, cold or hot packs and,if you can take them,NSAIDS like ibuprofen.Muscle relaxants and rubbing liniment May be used. It often takes 7-10 days to improve. Call your physician if symptoms worsen or don't improve.

HappensToTheBestOfUs: Don't thank me, thank your friend for giving you a back strain; or yourself for being out of shape. Well, never mind, at your age you'll probably do fine after a few days (maybe a week or so) of rest and light activity (by the way, washing dishes and doing homework are light activities).Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin, some light massage, hot bath or a heating pad. Then use this as an indication to get in shape
