What are the tests for preterm/neonatal complication - meningitis?

Spinal tap: If a neonate, premi or term, is ill they should get a spinal tap to determine if they indeed have meningitis. Much harder to diagnose anything just by an exam in neonates.

Combination: There are tests such as brain echo, MRI, EEG. It may take time to observe developmental progress.
