Not many: ARDS is a clinical disease; usually, chest xrays are usually suggestive. Ct scans of the chest are better. Sometimes, lung biopsies done by a lung surgeon are necessary to get at the diagnosis. There is no real blood test for the test. If you think you have ards, you should definitely seek immediate medical attention.
