Dr. Stan Lee answered

Yes: Spinal stenosis is narrowing of the spinal canal that results in pressure on the nerves within the spine and nerve pain or sciatica in the legs. Stretching and strengthening can help in many instances and definitely won't hurt. However, patients with advanced spinal stenosis, stretching an strengthening may not be effective. As a last resort, surgery can reliably relieve spinal stenosis.
