Time for PG test: I think the best thing to do now is a home pregnancy test. It will PROBABLY be negative. Presume protection has been barrier (condom/diaphragm) so there is a small failure rate. Cramps would typically not be occurring if you were pregnant, so it is likely your period is just late. Continue using reliable contraception-possibly more reliable pill or implant--as well as condoms for STI prevention.

Test: Hi. Do a pregnancy test. No means of contraception is 100% effective. If you're not pregnant, then at least you have that peace of mind. You could discuss other causes of new onset period irregularity with your gyn, if pregnancy is ruled out. Of course, if you are pregnant, you'll have to decide if you want to keep it and talk with your gyn one way or the other. Good luck!

Late period: Stress can upset your cycle, leading to delayed menstrual period and more stress. And the really annoying part is that the late period is typically worse with increased cramping! On the other hand, contraception is not 100% perfect, so you really must check a pregnancy test.
