A member asked:

How are tests for asthma performed on a child?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulmonary Function: Pulmonary function testing can be performed on children as young as 4 years old. Children younger than 4 can sometimes perform a peak expiratory flow test, but are usually treated based on history and physical examination and other diagnostic tests such as oxygen saturation.
