A member asked:

Can retin a (tretinoin) 0.25% be what's causing my face to break out more? i've been using it every other day for a week now

Shouldn't be: The action of retin A (tretinoin) is to increase skin turnover, so less blocked pores, meaning LESS acne. This doesn't cure your acne, but as long as your cleanse your skin regularly and remove excess oils from the surface, over time things should at least get better.

Yes but: continue to use it if you are using it for acne. It will initially seem to make it worse but eventually cool down the acne. This is not an unusual course, do not be discouraged. Full results can take a month or more.
