Not a good idea...: Clindamycin is chiefly used for respiratory infection, skin and soft tissue infection and not a good choice for bacterial UTI. Besides, consider its use as secondary due to its possible risk to develop clostridium difficile associated colitis, which could be severe and even fatal. So, don't use it lightly.

Not first choice: Clindamycin is not routinely used for UTI ( urinary tract infection). Several other antibiotics are readily available and effective. Your health care provider can help you with this.
