Sure: The pill has about a 3% failure rate so if you skip your period on the pill it would be appropriate to check a pregnancy test. For some women the pill is so effective at decreasing the amount of bleeding that they have very light menses and may occasionally just not see any blood when they do cycle. If the pregnancy test is negative then certainly continue the pills.
