What could be the cause of itchy palms? there is nothing visible on the surface, and washing or anti itch ointments do not alleviate it.

Possible allergy: This is not an uncommon problem and usually results from irritation from an allergic response or eczema. Please see attached for further insight. You may need a prescription ointment to alleviate the symptom. Good luck!

Itchy palms: You vould have contact dermatitis.apply moisturizer to hands liberally

Multiple factors: May have sensitivity to laundry soap or food or chemicals. Sometimes excessive hand washing can cause xerosis which can cause itching. It is unlikely that you have eczema with no lesions. Use of moisturizer and topical steroids or antihistamine will help.
