How long after drinking beer (up to 3 bottles) is it safe to take two 200 mg tablets of ibuprofen for a headache?

Ibuprofen and beer: There will be no negative interaction. Ibuprofen can irritate stomach, and so can beer, but this sould not be an issue. Eat a bit of food.

Immediately: Hi. There is no benefit nor risk to waiting. Go for it! Of course, that advise assumes you're not NSAID-intolerant.

No: If you drink a large (250ml) glass of wine, your body takes about three hours to break down the alcohol.Aspirin and ibuprofen are available over the counter without a prescription. Drinking a small amount of alcohol while taking aspirin or ibuprofen is usually safe as long as you follow the advice above. Taking more than the recommended dose of aspirin or ibuprofen increases the risk of irritation

Soon after: But consider taking the ibuprofen with food. The big concern many people take about with alcohol and ibuprofen is the concern over further irritation and subsequent bleeding from the stomach/upper intestinal tract and/or irritation of the liver. Taking it with food at least can help protect your stomach.
