Yes: Should be fine. Just don't take it more than 3-4 times/day to avoid kidney and GI issues. Avoid Aspirin while taking this much medicine.

Ibuprofen dosing: Yes, especially if you take it with plenty of liquids. It is also helpful to take Ibuprofen on a full stomach as some people experience some abdominal pain. It is meant for short term pain relief. If your headache is not resolving in a day or two, you should seek medical help.

Headache: 800 mg of Ibuprofen taken infrequently for headache is ok. Beware of medication induced, or rebound headaches. Naproxyn would be a better choice, speak with your family physician.
