Are you sure?: Some birth control pill have 21 active pills and 7 blanks. If you miss 1 or more pills during the 7 blank days, nothing will happen because these pills contain inactive ingredients only. But you must be sure it was not an active one. If it was, you have a slightly greater risk than otherwise. Do be more careful but you're probably okay. Best!

Not likely: if by "inactive pill" you mean the ones that do not have hormone , then you should be ok. Some (not advisable) women do not take any of the sugar pills the week of their period. that being said pregnancy is never 100% excluded if you have symptoms of pregnancy even if 100% compliant with the pills. hope that answers your question
