C. diff: The tests for clostridium difficile are normally very accurate - however, it is not uncommon to have a recurrence of c. diff induced diarrhea. Sometimes "probiotics" or yogurt helps with diarrhea. See your doctor for follow up.

Retest: You should do another stool test Sometimes a repeat stool is negative right after but if still symptoms be sure to redo the sample Also remember to be on a lactose free diet and take probiotics twice a day in addition to the antibiotics If only on Flagyl first time ask for oral vanco four times a day There are also new antibioitcs like Difficle that you can take
