Bipolar: Not taking meds regularly, drinking, drug abuse, excess caffeine, poor sleep hygiene, poor diet and lack of exercise. Sometimes antidepressant meds make bipolar worse. Usual treatment is with mood stabilizers. Antidepressants may be tried in addition is used sparingly and temporarily.
