Mood lability: Early symptoms can be centered on mood lability. The individual has marked aggressive episodes that tend to come out of no where. They are easily set off and can appear out of control. Additionally, the initial mood phase of bipolar disorder can be depression and not mania. This type of depression tends to come on rapidly and there may not be a reason for it.
