Aging social skills: Generally a person's social skills will not decline over time. An anxiety disorder such as social phobia is one thing that might help explain how it feels like your social skills are declining. Experiencing a trauma is another factor that can increase fear and reduce social interaction. But typically a person doesn't just "lose" social skills over time.
