Ulcerative Colitis: Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory disease of the colon. Symptoms include diarrhea, bloody stools, abdominal pains and more. If left untreated these symptoms go unchecked. It can lead to anemia, weight loss and malnutrition. Long standing UC can increase the risk of colon cancer and other symptoms outside of the intestines.
