Is it possible to have a fear of water but not if floating?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fear of water: Yes its possible to be afraid of water while standing looking at it from dry land accept the fear from the person and work on the reasons why - did they ever have a near-drowning experience you can work on the fear by getting closer and closer each time and then step in and slowly day by day going a bit father out yelling and screaming or frustration will only increase anxiety, counterproductive.
