O157:H7: Or one of the other serotypes of so called enterohemorrhagic or Shiga toxin producing e. COLI have an incubation period of usually 3-4 days but can be up to 10 days and present with initially watery diarrhea which often changes to bloody diarrhea associated with often severe abdominal pain without much fever and can cause the hemolytic uremic syndrome with anemia and kidney failure.
