What are the negative effects of beer on the human body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If drunk excessively: No usual harm if you drink rationally. In excess, you can gain weight, increase urination and electrolyte loss, and lost of all, your functioning can be impaired for driving and other risk taking tasks. It is also noted that alcoholic beverages can be addictive and might be involved in risk taking behaviors and violence. It is also a major public health issue due to under-age drinking.
