Both can be fatal: Smoking can lead to lung cancer and death. Drinking can lead to physical ailments like liver disease which can be fatal but can also lead to drunken driving which can not only kill the drinker but also innocent passengers in their car or other people on the roads. In addition, alcoholism destroys marriages, families, and can lead to job loss.
