Several drugs. : Physostigmine is an inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase, increasing the availability of acetylcholine. It is used to treat myasthenia gravis, alzheimer's disease & glaucoma. Other carbamates include neostigmine, pyridostigmine, ambenonium
demarcarium, & rivastigmine. Edrophonium has a similar mechanism of action.
