Keeps the pain away: I presume you are talking about anesthesia when you are referring to dental injections. This is the way the profession numbs the area or teeth to be worked on. Dentist can use a syringe with a needle on the end ( very skinny needle) or they can use a device that has a a needle and a pump that place the liquid anesthesia in the areas. Really..neither is too terrible but necessary.

Local Anesthesia: The average dental injection is given to numb an area, or areas, of the mouth so dental treatment can be performed without any pain or discomfort. Usually, these are very easily given and received, with little to no post-treatment soreness, or tenderness.
